Oda is a company on the move. We built Norway’s leading online grocery store and now we want to share what we’ve created with the world! Delivering a broad assortment of high-quality, affordable groceries to thousands of doorsteps is a complex process, but we believe we’ve cracked the code. Using data-driven methodology, with a focus on sustainability all the way along the chain, we are creating the most efficient retail system in the world. Following the recent merger with Mathem in Sweden, we’re at a very exciting stage in our journey that we hope you want to join us on!

As the Strategic Process Owner, for Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), you will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of our Sales and Operations Planning processes across the organization. This role is critical in balancing demand with supply, ensuring operational efficiencies, and supporting our global expansion. Your leadership will drive the integration of S&OP processes into our operational environment, enabling informed decision-making and strategic alignment across all markets.

You will be working within a cross-functional team responsible for developing our procurement and forecasting processes. Together with software engineers, designers, data analysts, and Relex super users, you have the capability to build tools and ways of working within your processes. Collectively, you set the industry standard in online grocery by demonstrating what can be achieved by optimizing product availability, minimizing spoilage, and balancing capacity with demand.

What you’ll be doing in this role 👷🏻‍♀️

  • Strategic S&OP Leadership: Lead the global strategy for Sales and Operations Planning, ensuring its effective integration into our operational practices to enhance global supply chain resilience and responsiveness.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central liaison between Operations, Commercial, Growth teams, and other key stakeholders to foster a cohesive and data-driven approach to global planning and forecasting.

  • Process Implementation and Optimization: Utilize your practical experience in setting up S&OP processes within operational environments to establish robust, scalable, and efficient practices. This includes driving the adoption of these processes across our global markets.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop and oversee the implementation of metrics and analytics to monitor the effectiveness of the S&OP process, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with global operational goals.

  • Capability Building: Mentor and guide teams worldwide on best practices in S&OP, building internal capabilities to sustain and enhance these processes over time.

  • Contribute to the full scope of the team: As a member of a cross functional team you will lead and participate in a wide range of initiatives across the teams full scope. At times initiatives might not be directly related to the S&OP process but to other areas where we together can create value.

Experience and skills we are looking for 💡

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing S&OP processes in an operational setting, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on experience.

  • Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics and the ability to navigate complex, multi-market challenges.

  • Expertise in Relex or similar forecasting tools, combined with a strong analytical skillset to inform data-driven strategies.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize cross-functional teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • A blend of strategic vision and operational pragmatism, with a strong inclination towards hands-on problem solving and process implementation.

  • A person who is not afraid to step out of their comfort zone and contribute with skills and experience to initiatives outside the Sales and Operational Planning process.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a other related field, or equivalent practical experience.

What success looks like in this role 🌟

  • Seamless integration and adoption of S&OP processes across all operational levels and markets, enhancing global supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.

  • Improved forecast accuracy and operational decision-making, supported by robust data analytics and performance metrics.
