We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to join Oda!
You will lead an organization of up to 350 drivers through direct personnel responsibility for Delivery Operating Managers, ensuring that teams are supported and developed. You build and scale diverse and inclusive teams, managing recruitment and onboarding within your area. You are accountable for the department’s P&L, working towards financial targets aligned with the Delivery Norway strategy. In close collaboration with the Fleet Coordinator, you ensure responsible and efficient fleet management.
What you’ll be doing as a Delivery Manager
HSE and deviations: Overall responsible for follow up on HSE and deviations of the site and ensure they are handled according to Oda's standard way of working
Grow and manage people: Lead an organization at Lier with up to 350 drivers. You will have personal responsibility for a team of Delivery Operating Managers (DOM) who are operational leaders with personal responsibility for the team leads and the drivers. In this role you make sure we support, grow and develop talented and passionate teams members, both in the short and long term. This requires among others, that you support and coach the leaders in tasks such as how to handle daily operational challenges, deviations, sick leave, vacation planning, capacity, recruitment and fleet management
Build and scale teams: Recruit and onboard people to the company within your area. We expect you to develop a diverse and inclusive environment for people to thrive. Identify, introduce and develop how your teams operate to achieve and maintain high autonomy, mastery and purpose over time as we grow and evolve as a company
KPI follow up: Facilitate and follow up on the department’s KPIs ensuring the organization deliver upon financial targets in alignment with Delivery Norway Strategy
Fleet management: Support Fleet coordinator in handling the Fleet and ensuring the driver organization holds its responsibility in Fleet maintenance
Raise the bar: Continuously improve how we do our delivery operations and bring out the best from insight data to continuously improve our practices and ways of working in a “happy but not satisfied” manner. We aim for world class quality and excellent delivery precision with capacity to serve our customers at all times. Understand cost drivers and dynamics to improve fixed and variable delivery cost. Work closely with the rest of the delivery management team, as well as other functions such as Fulfillment, Tech, People, Payroll and Finance
What you’ll need to succeed 🌟
You are solution-oriented, positive, proactive and experienced in dealing with stressful situations mindfully
You are a highly structured person ensuring that tasks and projects are completed
You are have a strategic mindset and are able to make long term plans, but also thrive in a hectic operational environment
You have strong sense of ownership to the business and are able to work independently within the scope with limited support from extended management, peer countries or the central organisation
You work targeted on improving important KPIs for the function, such as on time delivery, available capacity, engagement score, sick leave, vehicles on road etc.
What would be nice to have 💡
You have experience in developing and leading teams to high performance by being a collaborative, helpful and team-oriented leader, with a leadership philosophy based on trust rather than control
You have education within Logistics, Economics, Management or similar, or can compensate with extensive relevant experience
You have experience working with logistics or are passionate about continuous improvement processes with a strong interest for last mile delivery and customer service
You have experience in improvement work, such as structured process development and project management
You have experience with numbers both in terms of collecting, analysing and interpreting data to make good decisions
Speak and write fluently in English and Norwegian/Swedish
Manual Drivers License - Class B
